Ashley Monroe

Ashley Monroe is an American country music songwriter and singer. Following the release of two singles and an album called Satisfied in 2007, she formed the group Pistol Annies with Angaleena Presley as well as Miranda Lambert and released her 2nd album called Like a Rose in 2013. Ashley Monroe works as the assistant village manager for Riverside Illinois. With over 15 years of work experience, she's served in various positions within the public sector, with five years of experience in Iowa City's deputy City Manager post. She is currently the Village Manager's Assistant and has a variety of responsibilities which include managing the Community Development and Building Department in charge of grants and special initiatives. Ashley's job at Riverside is to assist with the day-to-day operation of village services, and to implement the vision for strategic planning set out by the elected officials. Ashley's previous roles include administration planning, communications budgeting, and personnel management as well as collective negotiation. Ashley is also passionate about climate action. Ashley has the ability to benefit from her experiences working in a variety of community and national institutions. Additionally, she has acquired an understanding of the manner the public sector operates. Ashley's teaching focuses on the present approach to leadership and management in public institutions from a seasoned practitioner. She is focused on adjusting the ethical and strategic choices to meet today's opportunities and issues, as well as manage intergovernmental relations.
